I'm new to ubuntu but so far, I love it. I installed a dual-boot system on my personal desktop (the whole family uses that). My ubuntu install is on a USB drive. I'd like to also install Ubuntu on my work laptop but I often need to switch back to windows for work. Rather than rebooting every time, I thought I'd use the virtual box for that .. I installed Sun VxBox, but when I try to install a new ubuntu server, it doesn't allow me to browse to find the USB drive. I need to have the same ubuntu on my desktop & my laptop so that I can work on some development stuff on either one (I work on the desktop when I'm home, but need to continue the work when I'm traveling).

Can anyone tell me how to get the Vbox to recognize my USB Drive ubuntu installation?

My operating system for laptop and desktop is Micro$oft XP ..
