I am trying to get running two screens. Gnome detected the second one easily and it displayed content quite well (notebook screen content was next to the standalone screen content, which is the first time I see this done automatically on linux). The only problem is, that the standalone screeen is quite big (25.5) and the biggest resolution is 1280x960, while I would like to get 1900x1600. But this resolution cannot be chosen in preferences. Do I have to get down to xorg or hal? I really would like to avoid this ;-) Anyone managed to achieve this?
I am using 9.04, but it's only a few days since I started using Ubuntu, so please, be patient ;-)
