I got a problem in reinstallation of packages using apton cd in ubuntu 8.10

I have installed ubuntu 8.04 earlier,

I have made a backup of my packages by using Aptoncd which i installed using sudo apt-get command

now I installed ubuntu 8.10
an error was occured during the re installation of the packages


when i placed the apton cd in my cd drive the package manager is invoking automatically but no installation captured !!!


please help me!! ,How to reinstall my packages in ubuntu 8.10

The above problem resolves me an error something like this


This media was created in an ubuntu hardy system, and is not suitable for your running system (ubuntu intrepid), please add a compatible APTonCD media created in an system like yours


Please make a note of it and help get rid of this problem and how can i install the previous packages that i have installed ............
