Well, I created a thread a couple days ago, and I learned that wubi was pretty easy to use and keep XP also. I'm also thinking whether I should burn a xubuntu CD(because I want the Xfce environment instead), but I haven't looked at my blank CD's yet to see if they are able.

Well, I'm just now checking, and it appears that on my C drive, I have 134 GB free(on an HP a522n) with an original 145 GB capacity. On my D drive, I have 638 MB free with a 4.19 GB capacity. Is this good enough to download (x)ubuntu and have it work properly? Oh, and my D drive is FAT32 while my C drive is NTFS file system.

I'm not really sure if I need to partition my HD, either, as I've never done it and I have no knowledge on partitioning. Then again, I could always go out and but an 8GB USB drive and learn how to do it that way, so whenever I go to places, I can have my linux with me.

Help? :)

it's very easy just don't forget the password you set.

edit: you can select xubuntu from the desktop environment drop down menu.

Thank you. I'm off to see the...penguin? Down the Linux Ubuntu road? Just some filler for the post. Hahaha. Anyway, I appreciate it. I will post back tomorrow or tonight how smooth it goes.
