Just wondering if this is normal behaviour.
For most "Create New -> Link -> Link to <whatever>" in Dolphin or Konqueror I get a properties dialog for, say, "Program.desktop" or "DVDROM-Device.desktop". If I fill it in correctly I can create a .desktop file that functions sort of as a link but isn't one in the usual filesystem sense. It's more like a Windows shortcut.
Is that as the developers intended it, or has something gone awry here?
I can still drag files from one window into another and select "Link here" to create normal links.
