Hey guys, I just installed ubuntu on my mother's laptop, and everytime it boots up, I get the message 'the application nm-connection-editor wants access to the deyfault keyring, but it is locked' and it asks for a password. anyone know what the password is?

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

Intrepid Ibex 8.10 I fixed that keyring problem, but now I have a new one and I don't want to create a new thread, every time I shut off the laptop, all the settings get lost, like WEP key, scroll settings, etc. How do I keep those settings?

That's one of the purposes of the keyring thing, to help keep track of the settings.

If you get the keyring working again, set the password to nothing. Like, don't type in anything. It will complain and say its insecure, but it will never pester you about the default keyring password again, but still save your settings.
