After reading an article

I thought that mabye we could get some programmers from around different Linux forums together and make GAIM messenger a better IM service so it has everything the Windows version has. I mean it is GPL so theres no reason why we can't do something like this...
Any volunteers?
EDIT: I don't know anything about programming beyond very basic Visual Basic but someome needs to start up the project...
