XKCD is awesome! But, no, he didn't give a password, so this isn't true.

Has been posted many times before, and not only here, but all over the Internet. That one is one of the most popular XKCD episodes. There are shops that sell T-shirts with that XKCD episode on it.

And I have one
It's possible that it is allowed because the
%wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL is not commented out :p

Wouldn't it be
./configure
sudo make
sudo make sandwich

I apologize - I didn't know it was so popular but I should have figured as much because it's so obvious. I posted it and then I had dinner and fell asleep while all of you "he didn't enter the password" spoiled it. Remember, he may have entered the password from a previous command - sudo stays in memory for a bit by default.

I thought you didn't even need sudo to run the make command, but you do need it to run "make install."

It depends. Sometimes you need it, sometimes you don't. I would imagine if you're installing in /usr/bin or /bin you'd need sudo.

You should never need sudo for make.
If you're installing somewhere accessible to anyone other than you, you'll probably need sudo for make install.
