just thought i'd make a poll to see who actually makes the bed. i know i don't kind of pointless if you are going to sleep in it later that day.

I am generally lazy. On weekends I don't usually make it, on weekdays I do.

Answer: sometimes

(The lady of the house usually takes care of it)

It doesn't matter if it looks tidy, I only go into my room to sleep and to get dressed. Definite waste of time and I sleep better in an unmade bed.

I sleep on a couch.

Not really. Hate to say it, but a bed's a bed. i do fix it up to the point where it's OK if it's completely out of control, though.

That's what wives are for.

I don't. My wife doesn't either. And we don't make the kids do it.

We are bad, bad people.

I figure I'm just going to mess it up again in 13-16 hours, why make it look good?! Yes its lazy, but I have better things to do... plus its not like the world can see my bedroom :)

Most days, it makes my fiancée happy and to be honest the room looks a lot tidier this way. I am trying to get better at keeping order but reversing a lifetime of packrat tendencies is a bit hard.

I sometimes make my bed. The only times it gets made is when I'm expecting some special female company and when I wash the sheets every 2 weeks.

Roughly 2-3 times a week...

Only after washing the linens. Otherwise, it's a waste of energy.

I am a couch man as well. I normally have my unused bed made though.

I only make sure that the cover is relatively straight. Then I put another cover on top, so I can dump stuff on it (like clothes, towels, laptops...).

Same here, the crap that's on the bed goes onto the chair when I turn in and when I go online the crap from the chair goes onto the bed

2 weeks after making my bed, I just do this:

make
make bed

Then my compiler takes care of the rest, and I already have the dependencies:
mattress-dev
sheet
bed-base
pillow-dev
cat-pet-dev
and
wood-lib

No just kidding, every 2 weeks I make it.

That's exactly my setup.

No but I don't think you can "make" a hammock I've never tried

Me too actually, it's the sort of thing you read and nod your head as you're reading it.

Thanks! I didn't even think it was very funny, but I just pared what I know from compiling in linux together.

No way I'm to busy in the morning to make my bed. I have to take a shower (20 minutes and I don't care how much water I use), check e-mail, read blogs, eat microwave sausage egg biscuit thing (Only 1 1/2 minute to sausage eggy goodness), and change my backpack over for even/odd day schedule.

That's exactly my setup.

# 'mornings'
cd ~/room/chair
mv -vf * ~/room/bed # I actually end up talking about it hence verbose mode

# 'nights'
cd ~/room/bed
mv -vf * ~/room/chair
