New returnee to KDE after several years

Hope I'm in the right category or should this go under Jaunty development?

When I first booted the Jaunty KDE Beta installation there was a smaller translucent window in the upper left hand corner titled Desktop Folder. Somehow that got deleted. How do I get it back?

This is called a "Plasmoid". To get it back, click the little icon that looks like a cashew in the upper-right corner, then click "Add Widgets". Find the widget called "Folder View" and drag it out onto the desktop.

You can actually put any folder on your desktop using the "Folder View" plasmoid, but it will default to the Desktop folder.

Yes, it takes a while to get used to but there's a lot to like about KDE 4.2. I find that the weather plasmoid/widget included with KDE4 is lacking, there is a much better one here (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Customizable+Weather+Plasmoid+(CWP)?content=98925) .
