I pulled a drive out of my homezone from 2wire that was no longer in use, and I am unable to format it. I know there is a lock but is there a way to unlock it so that I can install ubuntu onto it?

i had an old dvr box with a sata disk, i decided to trash the box and take the disk and had the same trouble, i downloaded the manufactures tools to to prepare the disk, that worked.

i guess if it's a seagate you need sea tools
