I'm a Ubuntu user, but i love KDE's new "weather wallpaper (http://jtechinda.blogspot.com/2009/03/plasma-weather-wallpaper-hello-planet.html)".

Inspired i set off to seek out a Gnome equivilant... but aside from the slightly ugly weather-wallpaper that gives you a (sometimes pixelated) cartoon wallpaper: -

and a script on gnome-look that left me confused i haven't found anything as elegant or simple as KDE's implementation.
Does anyone know of anything similar for Gnome? A day-to-night wallpaper as well would be great. I tend to prefer photographs over cartoon-y wallpaper - which is why KDE's looks so... rrrawwr!
If there isn't one, i might have to dive into what's around and see if i can (very clunkily) make something.
