View Full Version : [ubuntu] Google docs python script on 9.04

Sorry for what maybe a stupid question but I don't know how to install the python script for the above.
I have downloaded the script from
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-python-client/
I then extract it and in the new file click on 'setup.py' this then gives me an option to run in terminal, cancel, display or run.
I select either of the run commands and nothing happens.

In the terminal I have entered apt-get install python. This tells me I already have the newest version.

Just in case the script was really quick I have installed the screenlet but it doesn't find anything in my Google docs folder

hi Doely,
try to navigate in terminal to the location of the file setup.py and run

python setup.py

I have saved the file in my home directory as below:
/home/doely/gdata-1.3.0

Can you tell me what I should do in the terminal please as I really dont understand it! I struggle with plain English let alone complex studff!
