terminal problems

hi everyone.

I'm new here, and I've been having this problem with the terminal. When I write a command it's asking me for a password but when the part with the password comes up the keyboard doesn't work. Why?

any help is appreciated.

Actually your keyboard is working fine. When you type your password in terminal, it does not show anything like * when you type your password. :)

I understund this is so for security reasons, so no one can see how many characters are you tiping, etc.

Just put your password and then hit enter, it should work fine ^^
