I'd say I've spent well over two grand if I tallied up all the bluetooth headphones I've purchased. All of them have been returned due to insufficient sound quality. So far the only ones with decent sound quality are way out of my price range or fall extremely short in other areas such as battery life or how comfortable they are. Perhaps I'm a stickler when it comes to audio though. I guess audio doesn't exist beyond sennheiser.

So far I have found only Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 Bluetooth Streaming Headset with A2DP (with HPM-70 headphones), although I cannot say I've been searching good enough. Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 meets all of my requirements except I'm not sure it can be paired with an Ubuntu laptop.
Further advices will be very appreciated.

nokia makes good, inexpensive ones with controls on them. however, be on the lookout for in-ear ones. those are great! expect to pay $80 for a decent pair. anything less may not be worth it, for sound quality. I'm interested in which ones you buy.
