8.11 anywhere?

apparently i need to upgrade to 8.11 so ubuntu will recognize my new hardware, but i can't seem to find it anywhere, anyone know something i don't? please advise....

There is no 8.11. It goes from 8.10 Intrepid to 9.04 Jaunty. The second number is the month the version is generally released.

Perhaps if you gave us more information on what new hardware is requiring an upgrade we can provide more help - although a new thread with a more specific title might be necessary.
