hi every one,

I have this idea to create a repository for the local network, to prevent consuming the bandwidth on the same update or upgrade, is this applicable?

your guidance appreciated.
I'm new ubuntu.

Yes! I've done it here at my work for the same reason. The package you want to learn about is called "debmirror"... do a search for that on these forums, sorry I don't have the post handy.

You'll need about 30GB of space to devote to your repository... but it works like a charm. I've been doing it now for about 2 months with 8.04.
