I recently upgraded to kubuntu 9.04, now I get "unable to write /home/usrname/.ICEauthority" or something like that.
I fix it by doing
sudo chown username .ICEauthority
Is there any way to fix this permanently, so that I don't have to do that in console every time I try to log into my computer?
Thanks in advance.

here it is:
-rw------- 1 robert robert 1405 2009-04-12 08:52 .ICEauthority
Do i need to put x? if so how? :)

You do not need to make it as an executable file. How are the permissions settings on your $HOME?
ls -la /home
Or post the output of the command in my previous post.

And you have to change the owner of ~/.ICEauthority each time you log in?
