Hey i want to know how to make it so that when i close any window it a pears as if it would be burning or something like that.i have no clue how :l please share your knowledge and let me know :)

its the name of a "thing" you need to download..

when you do that then you can go to System>Preferences>Appearance and its in the Visual Effects tab.. you have to click on preferences under custom.. then when that window opens you can find it in animations...

as in how do i turn on the effect and what are good settings for it

i just told you how....

and theres only one setting for the fire setting... either you use it or you dont.. or you could put it on random effect...

it dsnt work like that i tried it with magic lamp you gotta set it up thank you for your help but never mind.

there aren't any good particular settings in compiz you just need to find what works best for your pc and how much your graphic card can handle, you can also look at this guide (http://my.opera.com/ubuntunerd1/blog/how-to-use-compiz-settings-manager) it should give you more knowledge about what you're trying to do
