I'm trying to get ubuntu up and going, but can't get it to boot without the live CD. I got this error code and need help understanding it:
This (id 10ea:8139 rev 10) is not an 8139C+ compatible chip
[ 36.101724]8139cp 000:08:02.0: try the "8139too" driver instead.
Where might I find this "8139too" driver and how do I use it.
Would it be better to make a new live CD and install it instead. I have gotten a new one, from the /Official Ubuntu Book, 3rd ed/ but haven't tried it, as it is for 32bit, and the laptop I'm trying to install to is AMD64.
