I made a GTK based on Dust. Read about here (http://beastlytech.com/2009041188/News/Misc/new-polished-gnome-theme.html)
If the above link doesn't work, go here(deviantart) (http://lib53.deviantart.com/art/Polished-GTK-118886951) or here(gnome-look) (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=102557)

What do you think? Is there anything that i should change?

Thanks. And if you're still trying out Ubuntu, then you should check out some articles on beastlytech.com. Here's one that i think you'd enjoy: link (http://beastlytech.com/2009040581/Articles/Linux/must-have-apps-for-ubuntu.html)
I hope you stick with Ubuntu :)

I like everything except the mixture of brown with the black (menu highlights, the panel). Brown and black is tacky (think brown belt with black shoes). Its very nice, but the brown is a little odd. Just my opinion though...

I personally changed the highlights to #FF936F

Are you talking about the default selected item color? Because if that's what it is you can change that quite simply. I kept that brown so it fits in with the whole Ubuntu palette. You can change that by

1) going to the appearance window (right click desktop> "Change Desktop Background".
2)Click the theme tab.
3)Click the customize button
4)And change the color under the colors tab

Tell me if you have problems with that, and thanks for the comment. I guess i might change that default color to something else.

Edit: I see that you've figured that out. I'll still keep this up for other users. :P
