I ask because OO.o 3.1 releases on April 15 and ubuntu 9.04 doesn't release until April 23. I can understand if they don't because of time restraints or feature freeze or some thing but will they update the repos so we can install it easily?

No, feature freeze has happened, they tend to only update for security things.

Think of it this way, OO.o 3 needs to be a PPA or you need to DL the .deb for intrepid.

The PPA will probably have it, no worries.

I can't wait for both of these! 9.04 has been sneaking up on me, didn't realize there was so little time left.

Probably not. OOo 3.0 was released before 8.10, but didn't make it in. Jaunty is already almost at RC stage, so I doubt they'll introduce any further version changes.

I looked it up, and Feature Freeze happens before Beta.

I can;t remember exactly when before Beta (I looked it up a little while ago) but basically: if it ain't in the Beta, won't be in the final, unless there is some serious security reason.

Ofcourse.... it is a minor point upgrade, so they might package it up later, but I doubt it a lot.

I tried to find a ppa for it but without success, could you provide me with it?
