Hello,
When performing 'Extract Here' on large files (> 500MB) the process takes a great deal of system resources and affects the ability of other programs to function. Sometimes to the point where firefox will stop responding.
Could there be a setting (somewhere underneath System > Preferences) which would allow for a "nice" value to be set?
(sidenote) I tried to use the script found in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=28642, but the function(s) seem to be written for a different version of ubuntu. When running them they fail with the error message of "Could not open '<parent-directory name>'. Archive type not supported."
TIA
