Has anyone heard of this but me? http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Intrepid
It seems to me that if the might of this forum was thrown behind this already decent work, it would be a good idea to ship it with ubuntu (as a pdf in every user's home dir).

Well, why would it get old if the latest version is shipped?

In my opinion, expanding on whats in System > Help and Support would be better.

Why not add the guide to the help menu?

Using the content from the guide and adding it to what already exists would be better. Yelp, which is the program used in GNOME for browsing help content, works a little like a web browser. You can click links, search, place bookmarks and navigate through it easier than a PDF or other document.

Interesting. I guess I never really used yelp, so I didn't know about its advantage.
