Hi all

I am really new to Ubuntu all seems to be working fine except for my sound card. it is a built on card (Realtek ALC650D) I am getting sound however no surround/center speaker. I have checked the alsamixer and everything is on and un-muted but for some reason I am not getting surround. when I use windows I need to use the realtek software to change the output ports from "mic" to sub/center etc. is there a way this can be done threw Ubuntu? I suppose its not a huge issue I could always buy a new proper surround card but I know the one I have works fine with that utility. is there a similar utility for ubuntu or anything I could do that I might be missing??

any help would be greatly apreciated.

thanks
