I have a couple friends who I've installed Ubuntu on their computers, one is a Dell the other is an Acer. They were both working fine until they updated and they didnt pay attention to what was updated but now their internet doesnt work and the one with the Dell is having problems launching programs from the digging I have done this is what i've come up with
- They are both on the latest kernel, I had them boot with the 27-9 kernel and they still had the same issues
- They have both done a warm restart and a cold restart
- I've checked IP addresses and they are good, I checked the ping on the Acer and it couldnt ping www.google.com so I told her to try a different internet connection and get back to me today
Is anyone else having problems with the latest updates? Any tips on what else i should try?
