Installation problem in hp dv5 1102tu
hi friends,
i am new to this forum and trying to install ubuntu 8.04 version on my laptop first time.My model is -hp dv5 1102 TU.

when i tried to run it with live cd it gave me the error but i have seen this forum threads and lot of guys have installed ubuntu in same HP model .

Did you burn the Live CD yourself? Did you do the checksum of the image (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM)? Have you done the "verify the integrity of the CD" option from the LiveCD start menu?

I have a got a ubuntu cd shipped from shipit.com so i think there is no error in the md5 checksum althought i have checked that.
is there any otner thing which might be getting wrong????
