I have just installed ubuntu dual boot mode with Xp. Now am unable to connect my Tataindicom usb modem so unable to connect net.My drivers are not being downloaded.
I am so much in need of help.The steps provided in the leaflet is not working.
Please help me as I am clueless in getting my Tataindicom dailer installed.Or, how to go about?

I'd suggest using a prog called wvdial. It's in the repository so you can open a terminal and type:


sudo apt-get install wvdial

. There are a few threads dealing with USB modems of different kinds, do a search for them.

Also, you might want to have this thread moved to a more appropriate place as more people are likey to read and respond.

I think the TATA Indiacom option is already present under

Network manager -> Edit connections ->Mobile Broadband
