Interpid killed my keyboard shortcuts

almost all the keyboard shortcuts are not working, Alt-tab, Alt-F4, everything almost, anything alt that is..

This started as soon as i upgraded from hardy to intrepid. the shortcuts seem to be enabled, compiz effects are enabled, can´t find out where the problem lies.

help. please.

i think it has something to with ibex and my keyboard, cant say though. i think it cant sense my alt at all..hardy was fine, why is this?

update:

only alt is not recognised, the keyboard shortcuts app, tells me that alt is recognised as Mod-5 is there a way to make it get back to alt, or do i have reconfigure all the shortcuts to mod5 from alt manually?
