Remote desktop

Hey, my cousin is installing ubuntu (we have one more) but his wifi is acting up, so I was going to help him through Remote desktop, but how can I do this over the internet? (the easiest way) I have his IP ect.. and he is connected his laptop to a (temp) ethernet port. Any help would be great, thanks :D

Is all that going to be easy? (I mean if its going to be a hour of working at it, I might not do it, but if its like, 30 min, then w/e)
