Every so often, the current staff get asked to recommend new additions, which the forum council then decide on who to invite.

In addition to expanding the Forum Council we’ve also brought on 4 new staff cariboo907, forestpixie, tinivole and Michael.Godawski who have all excelled within the forums and were glad they excepted the invitation.

This kind of thing is usually given to forum members who have demonstrated a determined and prolonged history of helping out others, and a technical proficiency thereby. Also, it goes without saying that they've had few if any negative run-ins with previous staff.

So just keep your chin up and throw yourself into helping on the forums and maybe one day you'll have an announcement about you! :)

It's partly to do with technical proficiency, it's also a lot to do with the attitude displayed by that particular member throughout their posting style :)
