Hello all,
I am going to ask for the opinion of the Ubuntu community members about my project.
It is called Wayfarer, and it is a project designed to aid the promotion and adoption of open source software. It is small currently, consisting of only two members, and I am not ready to assume control of a lot of volunteers.
The main goal of the project is to spread awareness that alternatives exist to proprietary applications. Many people do not even know open source software is available to use!
The organization is not biased or Linux centric, we support the use of Open Source software on all platforms.
An example is, I have planned to create a CD loaded with Open Source software for Windows, such as Firefox, Thunderbird, and Audacity. I hoped to distribute this CD for free to users, and at my expense.
