Howdy

I installed unetbootin in windows, downloaded the latest .iso with JJ and it installed fine on a 4GB sandisk stick. I am actually writing this from FF on Janty :).

However, my impression was that unetbootin would create an Ubuntu environment that was persistent between boots, but I am unable to save stuff on the usb stick since it is mounted ro.

Any tips on how to create the *real* runtime on a usb stick (from Windows, I dont have any CD connected to my laptop).

Thanks
A

The only way that I know is to enter "persistent" as a kernel parameter when booting from the usb.
