Hi all.

I installed Ubuntu just fine, but since the laptop ran it to slow. Much slower than Win XP. I've downloaded Xubuntu, but during installation I see these huge letters that appear to be from different languages, so I think it must be some language or keyboard selection window.... can I use the word window around here? :) lol

The only thing I can make out is the word: 'Bosanski'

How do I get the font to be smaller?

thx in advance
Gretter

No?

I'm going for Linpus. I'll check back later. Especially if that fails. :-) I'll know soon enough.

Linpus runs fine, fast and smooth, but with no local kayboard layout. That can probably be fixed without to much pain.

After using Linpus for a couple of days, being all in all pretty happy with it, I want'ed to install man pages and a few other things, but ... no proper repository atm. it seems. Anyway I look back into xubuntu and see that it has an option to install in a mode called 'safe graphics'. It's installing atm. and is past the problem with the giant letters. :-D

Life is grand. Safe Graphics, safe sex and safe coffee.
