A few months back, I used Clonezilla to make images of my hard drive, which contained Ubuntu (EXT3), WinXP (NTFS), Linux swap, and Fat32 storage partitions. I did a few restores and received grub error messages afterwards, although the computer did boot. At the time, I believe I read about a workaround to fix this error. I finally decided to go back to Acronis True Image, which I have used without issue for a long time.

Yep!
Great cloning package.
Unlike Ghost for Linux, it only copies the sectors that have data in them.
This speeds up the cloning process dramatically.

Roger ;)

I used it (when I was new to linux) to backup my partitions. Very reliable tool.

Great experiences w/ Clonezilla here. Can be a bit time consuming rummaging through the various menus and options.
