Here's a test (http://www.confickerworkinggroup.org/infection_test/cfeyechart.html) that will supposedly help Windows users find out if they have the bug.
It claims that Conficker is known to block access to over 100 anti-virus and security websites.
If you can see all the images then your Windows machine probably is not infected by Conficker.
the test. (http://www.confickerworkinggroup.org/infection_test/cfeyechart.html)
I know most on here needn't worry, but it's a good link for the Windows users. (they can't miss the alternative OS logos);)

Nothing really, so far. It's on a ton of computers, but all it has done is look for instructions (as far as I know). The only instructions it's gotten so far is to keep looking for instructions. From what I've seen nobody has a clear idea of exactly what it's supposed to do.

try going to the secureworks website. Sometimes, depending on browseer or add-ons a picture may not load.

Nobody knows. That's why they're nervous about it.

there are some theories. most likely, because of the way the virus is being unloaded, (where, and how), how it propogates, executes and terminates, it will be a data-miner, and not necessarily malicious. (As in damaging to the computer.)

The world needs better reverse engineering tools to analyse this sort of stuff better.
Theres a £200k bounty on the authors of conficker - Anyone know where I can get a copy? :-D
