Kubuntu live cd hangs!!

I want to try out kubuntu to see if I like the KDE desktop better than the gnome. One little problem, it wont boot into the live cd. I've tried on 4 computers [including a virtual machine] I re-downloaded the disk, tried x64 0n my 64 bit machine, nothing. I even left it on for 10 hours and it still did nothing. I burned it at the lowest speed that my burner would go. I havent checked the md5 yet, but thats my next step. If not the gnome desktop is still good too.

wher you get the ISO from and whats you graphics card?

also you may try
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop, then select kubuntu under sessions at the log-in screen.

Graphics cards for the candidates I tried it on: Laptop - Ati radeon 3100. Desktop 1 - Intel extreme graphics 800? 8mb integrated Desktop 2 - nVidia MX/MX 400 AGP All had the same problem. I got it from the get kubuntu webpage. I need to boot up my clanky old desktop to check the md5 and I'll post back with that.
