hmm....I'm guessing very bored and sitting at their computer, making a program that tries every possible combination of letters in the terminal, then sifting through gazillions of pages of Errors and Bashes, looking for something that worked.:lolflag:

Or maybe the developers tell people, or someone looks in the source.

Much more likely if you ask me.

ALT+F2 "killall gnome-panel" (without quotes). Your panels will disapear for a second, come back, and there will be no more fish!

That is definitely my favorite egg in all of the GNOME desktop. Sure managed to trick my sister with it.

Another fun one: open a terminal, type `zenity --about` and a popup will appear. With the popup focused, type 'zen' (no quotes) and you get a fun surprise. (edit: aww, appears this doesn't work anymore.)

Open up Kexi and create a new table called Sudoku. You will get a little nice game of Sudoku!

Yes, you will. Or it will die. Just wait for April 1st next year and you'll see. :D

Anyway, since this hasn't been mentioned yet, OpenOffice Calc includes a small game. Just type =Game("StarWars") in any cell.
