Hi,

I'm developing a very small operating system and have managed to compile it into a .bin file, but I don't know how to make a bootable cd/dvd from this. Can anyone help?

for a SO developer that question looks weird.
try burning with brasero as an image, i am not sure if it works.
if don't try convert to .iso first and then burn.

Ok, figured it out! I've only just started OS development, and all of the beginners tutorials seem to use either floppy disks or Windows.
Thanks!

are you sure you are aware of what making a own linux distro takes?
why not to help ubuntu instead ?

I'm not going to be making a linux distro, but instead a very rudimentary kernel, so it won't be based on linux.

It was pretty fun on Windows, but I want to be able to do it on Ubuntu too, and i'm having some trouble with that. I don't think the end result will be all that good, but it should be fun to do.
