Can't use internet in Windows after installing Wubi

I installed Ubuntu 8.10 using Wubi, and the Ubuntu instation is working fine, but since then Windows can't connect to the internet. Any idea of what happened, or what should I do to find the reason?

FWIW, I use a cable modem (RCA dcm425 b) which seems to have a dhcp server.
