Greetings fellow Ubuntu users! I recently installed Ubuntu and I just wanted to say 'hi' to everyone on the forums. I also want to say that these forums and the wiki were very helpful to me in working out a few things with my install. So thanks to all you Ubuntu experts out there.

Many of the how-to guides I've read use the shell alot so I figure I should learn more about this. Does anyone have and good links where I can find out more about shell commands and the like? Thanks again.

Here's a list of the commands for use in the bash command line:

I learned Bash on OS X, but the commands are basically identical, here's the tutorial I used when I learned there:

That takes you through file navigation and modification and some more things. It's a good solid intro to Unix.

I am pretty new to Linux myself, so if I am wrong and things are dramatically different, someone with more Linux experience just slap me:)
