Vertical mouse wheel working horizontaly

My mouse has got only one wheel and obviously it should work vertically - but it works as horizontal wheel.

It used to work before I upgraded to Interpid.

The problem with this Ubuntu version is that the config files are now somewhere else and all advice I can google is obsolete.

Can you help me?

It might be as simple as clicking the right side of the screen, you may have selected the bottom accidentally. If that doesnt work I would just play around in System>Preferences or System>Administrator. Best of Luck to you.;)
