Hi, I am looking for a good Linux podcast. However, all of them that I have found are either dry, very short, or swear like something out of a rated R movie. I also am looking for one that has a podcast tag genre on the ID3 tag so that it shows up in the podcast section on my Sansa View. Anyone have an suggestions? BTW I also want to plug a few things I found. I personally am into retro computing and found that the Computer Chronicles (http://www.archive.org/details/computerchronicles) video episodes are online. (It's a really old computer tech show.) Another thing I found was the Retro Bits podcast (http://retrobits.libsyn.com/). That's on retro computing. Cheers!

You could always tag the genre yourself.

Don't know of any offhand, but you might have better luck posting somewere other than Community Cafe Games.

I'll request a mod move this for you.

Ever hear Linux Reality? Awesome podcast, I was so sad when it ended. It's a little old, but I love the guy's voice, and I've learned so much from it. Fresh Ubuntu is also pretty interesting, and the Ubuntu Podcast.

BTW, TWiT is AWESOME! Listening to episode 194 right now.

i heard i tiny bit of the first tuxradar and it sounded pretty good, it's tagged as podcast too, at least the first one was.

you can add the podcast tag in xmms/audacious/bmp, xfmedia and probably many other small audio players by right-clicking on the podcast in the playlist window and selecting something like view track details. EasyTag can do it too.

i haven't listened to linux podcasts for a while apart from distrowatch weekly, i like audiobooks atm! but here are some more -
distrowatch weekly
the linux action show (also on youtube)
lottalinuxlinks

Teen Linux Lounge used to do regular podcasts that were pretty decent. Sadly, they're not around anymore...shame, I miss those days. But who knows, maybe I'll just start up with a ranting podcast myself! You never know!

Gutsy Geeks is a clean podcast

http://www.gutsygeeks.com/

It is based out of Phoenix and is on local radio there. The show does have commercials however, but runs about a hour.
