And will it work better with my Compaq Presario F756NR than 8.10 did?

What problems are you having with your current set up? WiFi and video drivers that used to install won't install anymore.

Should I get the beta or just wait?

I'm sure its fixable. What used to install (specifically) that won't install now?
And yes, try the beta, livecds are great to test out hardware compatibility.

I'm sure its fixable. What used to install (specifically) that won't install now?The NVIDIA driver. And the WiFi driver. They worked before in 8.10 but then much later after reinstalling 8.10 and putting on all of the updates then they wouldn't install.
(NVIDIA would install but have too many problems. WiFi wouldn't install at all.)

Also, theres another problem that happens on multiple Linuxes(distros or whatever its called.), I have to hold a key until it's done loading to get it to start.

And yes, try the beta, livecds are great to test out hardware compatibility.Ok.

What wifi do you have? I have broadcom, which, for the first time ever (in 8.10), works almost out of the box. (You have to install broadcom-sta and restart, and it works so much better than ndiswrapper ever did for me.)
I have no experience with nvidia though.

I'm currently on the LiveCD.
And the WiFi works!!! But the video is at the wrong resolution, so I'll install the Nvidia driver after installing 9.04 to the hard drive.

EDIT:
Now I've installed 9.04 onto the hard drive and am now installing updates.
