In Ubuntu there is an option to install as an OEM install (creates a new user wizard for when you want to sell a pc with Ubuntu pre-installed) - but - once installed, you can't change the default theme, wallpaper, etc... for the new user easily. I have set out to create a GUI to easily setup those preferences in Ubuntu.

I have started a little project to create a GUI to setup default themes and wallpapers for the new user created using the OEM installer. PLEASE let me know if anyone is doing this already! If no one is, I will, and hopefully with a little help ;) (read: Will you help me)?

I installed the OEM version a year or so ago.

Didn't have any problem changing stuff, or non that I remember.

Either way, I would like to help, but only do bash scripting.

well, when you run the oem-setup or whatever, when the end user sets up their computer and logs in, they get the deafult theme and wallpaper, not what you choose as the temp users settings.

It's too long ago, might have gone root on their ***.

Either way, that behavior is kind of stupid.

Good luck with the project.
