Hi,
I am trying to use the Lowes website - home renovation is an on-going project. :-)

I have looked at the site with IE (WINDOWS) and with Safari (MAC) and it looks fine. I then use Firefox on UBUNTU and some of the text does not scale to the size of a box on the screen. I have installed the MS fonts (at least I ran the install command and rebooted). I have turned on and off the checkbox to let the site choose the fonts (in FIREFOX). I have set the property to use sub-pixeling in Systems Preferences. So far no joy at getting the text to scale.

I have the java plugin in firefox. I am using 8.10 UBUNTU which I recently installed. I have applied all of the patches per the download from the package manager.

So does anyone know anything else I can try? Can someone please go to lowes.com and look at the text at the bottom of the screen and see if it is painting correctly. I am attaching a screen shot so you can see the issue.

Thanks so much,

Paddy

It works fine here, I'm sorry to say so.

You can try installing opera as a workaround, or resetting your firefox profile.

If you can't find the .firefox directory, you most likely didn't press CTRL+H (to show hidden folders).
BTW I don't recommend Opera.

Thanks. Adding a new profile cleaned up the issue.
