i want to connect my laptop(via Wi-fi) and desktop(via LAN) to each other through my adsl2+ (lan and wifi)router.
i have been able to do this on XP but unable to configure it on my hardy.
the settings that worked on XP install
desktop
IP:192.168.1.5
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS 192.168.1.1
on Laptop
IP:192.168.1.5
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
DNS 192.168.1.1
For router
the Ip address is 192.168.1.1 and DHCP is disabled.
DNS 192.168.1.1
