Is there? What i mean is.. Is there any dock that works the same as those with icons.. But instead of lets say a icon for firefox it would just be the text "firefox". Or if i start gimp it would say gimp.

It would be good because it could take less space and look quite crisp :)

I use gnome..

Ah i see. Yea well that's a solution. I could do that. What dock are you using ?

I use AWN (avant-window-navigator).

However Cairo-dock seems better at this since you can actually set the width and height of the icons. So for example I tried setting height to 18pixels and width to 75pixels. Perfect for text.

Unfortunately I just prefer AWN anyway, so I'm sticking with that. But you should try both and see which you prefer.
