I am looking to join an open source project, but i would prefer it to just be getting start.
I have been browsing http://sourceforge.net/people/?category_id=1 , but havnt found anything of interest there
at this point I have little care of what to code, any other places to look?

What programming language?
Also is there a way to search on sites like sourceforge by language & is there a way to find out what language a command line program is in?

I meant that the google summer of code is aimed at students. I didn't mean that you didn't have enough knowledge. :D
I thought it looked quite interesting idea.
