I tried to upgrade my version of Ubuntu (6.10) after a long time of no activity to the newest one. I got the following error message during the first stage. How may I remedy this? Thank you for your time.

You cannot upgrade to 7.04 since it is obsolete.
Edgy is also obsolete.

I would recommend a fresh install of Interpid Ibex or even better wait for Jaunty (in about 3 weeks) if possible.

You have to do a clean install.

Thanks for all the replies. I sort of figured it was because 7.04 is an old version. My update manager said that there was an update to that version.

I'll just wait a few more weeks.
